Reflective Journal Week 4: P2

    

Week 4 (3/07/2023- 7/07/2023)

Successfully completed fourth week of my teaching practice. It's a very rough and harsh week. Within the chaos of school buzzing, we have learned a lot of things.

The first day, that is 03/07/2023, we, the mathematics trainee teachers assigned with an extra duty of working out previous year question papers of class during free period and after lunch break. Initially we were given with 3 sets of question papers later one more set was given. Then, as usual I went to the class and taught them problems related to the session. Because it was raining heavily it is difficult for 8B students to see the board since the class has minimal facility. That is, the class doesn't have any basic facilities like fan and light. A kind of ignorance to them. The students are very vigilant and most of them love to study.

In the second day, that is 04/07/2023, started with morning prayer. In the third period I went to 8H and taught them the new session isosceles triangle. With the help of ppt I introduced topic from specific to general. It was more effective as I tried this way enormous times. Also, Rani miss, our general teacher from college for observation and she said good comments on my class. After my class, I helped with assisting her in observing other teacher's class by taking her to their classes. In between this I went to engage in free periods and also to 8B as I got a free period there also.

In the third day, that is 05/07/2023, started with morning prayer. In the second period I went to 5B. After reaching their one of the teachers asked me to just observe class 5A too, whether they are getting out from the class. So, I was assigned with double duty, but it was fun to mingle with them. They are cute and funny at the same time. Towards the end of the period, they were summoned at the ground floor class to show a movie on the occasion of the special " Baseer Day". I also watched little of it. When the bell rang, I went back to the staffroom to take the class. During the Sarga period in 8B, I asked students to showcase their talents. They started to sing a song and then asked about their family and all other things. They love to talk. And me also:) 

In the fourth day, that is 06/07/2023, started with morning prayer. In the first period I went to 6F. In the fourth period, I went to 8H and Amina teacher also joined to observe my class. Taught them the new session equilateral triangle. With the help of ppt I introduced topic from specific to general. And the happy part of the day was one of my students in 8B willingly ready to complete all notes. And after the period he always comes to me and sows is book and say " Teacher, I competed". I love when he says that.

In the fifth day, that is 07/07/2023, in both assigned classes I started the new session bisectors. Sir asked me to conduct test paper in the coming week itself. Aso, he asked me whether I am going to the class in the lunch break time to work out more problems. In the afternoon period we have observed the arranged that made by the SPC students onto special occasion of a visit to old age home in the view of understanding their lives and to create the value of empathy in the. It is appreciable that they have thought of such kind of thing, and they organized everything smoothly. Also, in the afternoon sessions we got only little time than the usual to take classes.

Overall, this week was full an amalgamation of good and bad things. My memories and mind are getting clouded with many things. After, thinking about many bad things that happened in the last few weeks, sometimes I felt like everything should need to be end fastly but thinking about the love and care showered by the students, I was more attached to those things. Since it was raining during the whole it was difficult for us to reach school and take classes. But I think I did a good job in keeping the calm.
