Reflective Journal Week 7

 

Week 7 (16/01/2023- 20/01/2023)

Successfully completed seventh week of my teaching practice. A lot of things happened this week. Also, I am very happy with my students because they are very obedient now.

 The first day, that is 16/01/2023, started with morning assembly conducted 8A students and in the assembly, HM announced that they will join the sub-Jilla based campaign of vegetable farming in schools. First day I got three periods in 8A. I taught them on the topic construction of squares and rhombus and made workout them some problems based on it. Also, from this week onwards we were in charge of PT periods of all classes in the school. So, we will get a separate timetable for that in the morning itself from HM and we adjust our duties accordingly. We teach them many games and warm- up exercises. We were mostly assigned for the UP students PT period. Therefore, if whenever they get a free period, they rush to us asking to take them for PT.

In the second day, that is 17/01/2023, nothing special happened but something memorable happened. This day also I got 3 periods in 8A. Also, on this day we were assigned with the duty of handling 10 A class. It was so easier for us to take class in 10 A as that is the only class that behaves like matured ones and always listens to us. The memorable part of this day is that, as I was not feeling good and I a continuously sneezing, my students sowed care for me. They are very worried about me. Their loving behavior made me feel loved towards myself. I'm very grateful.

In the third day, that is 18/01/2023, the day started with special morning assembly. The assembly observed awarding the pass out students who scored better marks in their final SSLC exams. Alos, our optional teacher came to our school for observation. Since my regular period in 8A is on 8t period, she asked me to arrange it in the morning session. So, I went to 8A in the 4th period. I'm so happy that all y students are very cooperative, and I felt very proud that I got some bunch of sweethearts as my students. She observed my class and given many comments on account of it. Bot positive and negative. And I'll try to improve myself.

In the fourth day, that is 19/01/2023, nothing special happened. I got only one period in 8A and with the help of PPT, I taught them the topic area of trapezium and worked out some problems based on it. In the 5th period, we went to observe the class of Ms. Pooja. She took the class very beautifully. In the 6th and 7th period, we handled the PT period for 5A, 5B and 6A class and practiced them some exercises. Since, we decided to conduct an awareness class on first aid and to donate a first aid kit, we discussed on it later.

In the fifth day, that is 20/01/2023, there were no period for me in 8A as per the regular timetable. The day started with a special morning assembly. The assembly observed the donation of first aid kit by us, The B. Ed trainees and certificate distribution to the winners of sports. We were so happy that our idea of donating first aid kit was a great success and all of the faculties liked it very much and we get appreciation from HM, other faculties as well as from students, as it is the most needed one in that school. In the afternoon, as part of our school-based activity we conducted our awareness class on the topic first aid for 8A students. It was like an interactive session. After each class by us, we have given time for them to ask doubts and all students participated really well.
