Reflective Journal Week 4

Week 4 (14/11/2022- 18/11/2022)

Successfully completed fourth week of my teaching practice. There is a lot happened in this week. Also, I took a lot of class this week. The first day, that is 14/11/2022, we the B. Ed trainees organized a special assembly as part of Children's Day with the permission of HM Ms. Anitha C. S. We trained students and conducted the whole assembly smoothly. HM also appreciated us for our hard work and coordination. We distributed sweets to children and the assembly ended with special mote by our cute little chachaji. Also in the same day, as part of NSS unit of college, we provided saplings to school and planted them with the permission of HM and students helped us.  First day I got only one period in 8A.

In the second day, there was no class carried over because of unexpected educational bandh. But we reached school and put sign in our register and studied for our sem exam. In the afternoon, the school dispersed.
In the third day, nothing special happened. Because we, the mathematics trainees have to conduct a maths related assembly we made preparation for it. Trained each student and introduced interesting elements in the assembly. That day also got 1 period in 8A.
In the fourth day, i was able to have many periods in 8A. So, I almost completed my portion. In the same day I introduced my innovative work, which is the game related to the chapter construction of Quadrilaterals, that was made by me. It took lot of time to develop the game. I know I'm not a pro but, still happy with the game that it came out well and students liked it very much. The game is hidden object game, and the content is the properties of different quadrilaterals. I felt that students were more free and energetic whole playing the game than the normal classroom teaching. So, I'm very happy that they liked it very much and feel very free to play the game.
In the fifth day, which is also the last day of our first spell in phase1, I got many classes. Both regular classes and extra classes. Also, free periods to other classes. The day start with our special maths assembly. We were so happy that our students presented the whole assembly so smoothly and we get appreciation from HM. Since this is our last day in the school, we bought some sweets for teachers and students. Had a lot of random talks and fun with students. One of my students gifted me a cute love work carved in a chalk piece. I was SOOO happy after seeing that. I felt like worth living the life. Bid farewell to HM, teachers and other non-teaching staffs. They wished us good and told see you soon. Students also wished me good luck with my exams.
