Reflective Journal Week 3

Week 3 (7/11/2022- 11/11/2022)

Successfully completed third week of my teaching practice. There is a lot happened in this week. Also, I took a lot of class this week. The first day, that is 7/11/2022, we witnessed a special assembly under the supervision of Vijayakrishnan Sir, who is also the main teacher of SPC. Under his guidance students demonstrated some life skills that is much needed in some emergency situations. Like, the skill in tying different types of knots and making a simple stretcher using a blanket and 2 logs. It was very informative session and the other student cadets had done a brilliant job from their respective part. Also, in day 1 I got a total of 5 periods in 8A other than free periods to other classes. In the second day, my concerned teacher in school, Ms. Asha also joined me to observe the class. After the class she gave me so many good comments. Since, coming Monday is children's day we requested to HM to organize some programs based on the day and to conduct the morning assembly duty. Also, me, Ms. Amina and Ms. Pooja are assigned with the duty of conducting math-based morning assemble. So, in this week we discussed and prepared activities for both programs. We also handled some PT periods in this week. I started new chapter, Construction of Quadrilaterals in this week. In the fourth day of this week our general teacher, Ms. Rani K. V visited our school for observation. She gets there surprisingly. We were really got tensed as we were not expecting her that day. So, we adjusted our classes with other teachers. After the class she had given comments about the things that I need to improve. I've learned a lot of things that day. Also, gone through many things. I got many classes this week. Both regular classes and extra classes. Also, free periods to other classes.

  Week 8 (31/07/2023- 04/08/2023) Successfully completed last week of my teaching practice. These 33 days are filled with new experiences and lessons in life. These days have taught me to learn from mistakes and improve myself with hard work enthusiasm. As a teacher trainee, these days helped me to understand my limitations in the process of teaching. Each and every experience I faced during my school internship helped in developing my personality and in increasing my confidence level.  The first day, that is 31/07/2023, I reached school little late because of PSC exam. The day our Principal Dr. Sheeba P miss, who is also our class teacher came for the last observation. In my absence my friends arranged class for me. In the second period I went to 8H for the class. Reflective Journal Week 7

  Week 7 (16/01/2023- 20/01/2023) Successfully completed seventh week of my teaching practice. A lot of things happened this week. Also, I am very happy with my students because they are very obedient now.  The first day, that is 16/01/2023, started with morning assembly conducted 8A students and in the assembly, HM announced that they will join the sub-Jilla based campaign of vegetable farming in schools.  First day I got three periods in 8A. I taught them on the topic construction of squares and rhombus and made workout them some problems based on it. Also, from this week onwards we were in charge of PT periods of all classes in the school. So, we will get a separate timetable for that in the morning itself from HM and we adjust our duties accordingly. We teach them many games and warm- up exercises.
